About Art on Shannon
Art on Shannon was established in the Fall of 2022 after Victor and Katie Garcia purchased the building located at 201 S Shannon St with the hope of contributing to the growth of Downtown Jackson. Having been an office building since 1949, the Garcias knew it was time for a change. With thriving local destinations like Hub City Brewing, The Local, The Amp, and The Farmer's Market all within walking distance, 201 was the perfect place for another vibrant business. After consulting with friends and professionals about the needs of the Downtown community, Art on Shannon was born.
What We Envision
Since day one, the vision for Art on Shannon has been "organic, artist-led community". Victor and Katie have provided the space, but the artists bring it to life! Imagine a building where each room is filled with one or more artists, breathing life into every corner, being inspired, supported, and encouraged by each other and the community, a place where visitors leave with a desire to take that same energy to their part of the world and beyond!
